ToolsKit

Methodology

How ToolsKit builds and checks its calculators and tools: formulas, assumptions, testing, data handling and how we correct mistakes.

How our calculators work

Each ToolsKit calculator uses a published, standard formula, such as the annuity formula for loans and SIPs, compound-interest growth for deposits and lump sums, and the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for calorie estimates. The formula and the main assumptions are described on the tool page, so you can check the result yourself.

Testing and review

Calculation logic is covered by automated tests that compare results with hand-checked examples, and invalid input is rejected with a clear message instead of a misleading number. Rates, tax slabs and similar reference values are reviewed from time to time, but they change, so always confirm important figures with an official source.

Estimates, assumptions and rounding

Investment results assume a constant rate of return and regular contributions, which real markets do not provide. Tax tools show simplified estimates and do not cover every deduction, surcharge or personal circumstance. Results are rounded for display, so small differences from your bank or employer are normal.

Your data stays with you

Calculators and most tools run entirely in your browser. The numbers and text you enter are not sent to ToolsKit servers. See the Privacy Policy for details about hosting, analytics and advertising.

Reporting a mistake

If you find an error or an out-of-date rate, email rumitech.solutions00@gmail.com with the tool name and the values you used. Confirmed problems are corrected and the fix is published on the site.
